Updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy now cover organizations, connected AI apps, several sign-in addresses and invitations by email, and promise at least 30 days’ notice of a material change. Earlier versions stay readable.

A faster home page

The home page arrives with its text, so you can read it before anything else has loaded.

October 7, 2026

Several sign-in addresses

An account can have up to five sign-in addresses. Add one from your account page, and signing in with any of them opens the same account.

git push to TeXType

Pro projects take git push. Clone a project with an access token that can push, and collaborators see each push as it lands, with anything typed meanwhile merged in.

More compiles on Free

Free projects compile 20 times in a row, then once every 30 seconds. It was 5 in a row, then once every 2 minutes.

A warning before an idle sign-out

After nearly 12 hours away, TeXType warns you five minutes before it signs you out. Stay signed in keeps you.

A menu for every file

Right-click a file or folder, or press Shift+F10, to rename, move, download or delete it, or to copy the line that includes it.

Bibliographies with biblatex work again

Biber had stopped running, so documents using biblatex showed [?] for every citation. They get their bibliography again.

Compile errors explained

The compile log says what common errors mean and what to do, names bibliography errors, and jumps to the right file.

Easier with a keyboard and a screen reader

Files, tabs, History, the compile log and every menu work from the keyboard. Each page starts with a link that skips to its content.

October 4, 2026

Connect your AI

Claude, ChatGPT or Codex can read, search and compile your projects, where each project’s owners allow it. It is opening gradually; the guide explains how it works.

October 3, 2026

Bibliographies from Zotero and Mendeley

On Pro, import a Zotero or Mendeley library or collection as a .bib file that stays up to date.

Invite anyone by email

Share a project with any email address, whether or not that person has an account yet.

Clone with git

Every project is a git remote. Clone it, and fetch what was typed a moment ago, with an access token from your account page.

October 1, 2026

The editor on a phone

On a phone, the files, the source and the PDF each get the whole screen, one tab away.

September 30, 2026

Typing through a lost connection

What you type while the connection is down is kept, and sent when it comes back.

September 29, 2026
